International Professional Kinesiology Practitioner (ICPKP)

PKP is grounded in Applied Kinesiology and was developed by Dr Bruce Dewe a New Zealand medical dwho turned to kinesiology as his answer to drug-free medicine.

His goal oriented process of non-manipulative chiropractic techniques, naturopathic, traditional chinese medicine and pyschological methods utlising an expanded finger mode system has become an energy based 'whole systems medicine' that is fully encompassing.

Unique to PKP is the hypothesis that there is an emotion behind every imbalance aand discussing its relevance to the person leads to long lasting change.

In the late 1980's Dr Bruce Dewe, saw the need for a government recognised kinesiology training programme and re-developed the PKP course to meet standards of 'best practice' in line with the New Zealand Qualification Authority's standards. PKP is now taught as a series of competency based units - the first 16 of which are the New Zealands Government National Certificate in Kinesiology (over 1,000 hours of training) and the full 60 units are the NZ Governments National Diploma in Kinesiology (over 4000 hours of training).

The International College of Professional Kinesiology Practice (ICPKP) set up by Dr and Mrs Dewe now oversees more than 30 ICPKP accredited colleges worldwide. All ICPKP colleges teach exactly the same material , electronically downloaded via the ICPKP website thereby maintaining global consistency in training standards and syllabus
